About the club

First of its kind socio-technical team at RVCE.The mission of the Women in Cloud Network-Student Chapter is to create a vibrant community that empowers women in cloud computing and technology through mentorship, education, and networking opportunities. By fostering inclusivity, collaboration, and professional growth, we aim to shape a future where women are integral to the evolution of the tech industry and society overall.

To create a dynamic student-driven socio-technical community that fosters innovation, collaboration, and learning in cloud computing and emerging technologies, preparing students to be leaders and problem-solvers in the tech industry.

Mission

To provide students with opportunities for hands-on experience, mentorship, and knowledge sharing in cloud and technology. By promoting collaboration, professional growth, and social impact, the club aims to empower students to apply technology creatively to real-world challenges and drive meaningful change in society.

Voice of Valour: Women’s Day Celebration Celebrating Women Achievers in Science and Engineering March 8th, 2025

The event was a true celebration of women’s brilliance and resilience. It not only acknowledged the monumental contributions of women in STEM and other fields but also served as a source of inspiration for the attendees. Through an enriching blend of knowledge-sharing and interactive elements, the session left a lasting impression, reinforcing the importance of celebrating women’s achievements and empowering future generations to follow in their footsteps.

Code with Coffee - Launch February 16th 2025

Skills Acquired:Coding skills, Problem solving and Placement preparation

The "Code with Coffee" event successfully launched its first session on February 16, 2025, with a comprehensive focus on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). The session served as a guide for both new and experienced coders, emphasizing the importance of DSA for career development and problem-solving. Through live coding sessions, platform recommendations, and learning resources, the event encouraged practical application and community-building. The first session's success established "Code with Coffee" as a valuable platform for coders looking to enhance their skills in a supportive, informal environment.

CATALYST- Cultivating Attitude, Teamwork, Articulation, Leadership, and Your Soft Skills Transformation January 17th, 2025

Skills Acquired: Professional Etiquette, Public Speaking,Presentation Skills and Confidence Building

SPEAKERS: Amrita Mukherjee and Shubha Girish

The CATALYST session proved to be a transformative experience, equipping students with crucial soft skills that extend beyond the classroom and into their professional lives. Through expert-led discussions, scenario-based learning, and engaging activities, participants gained practical knowledge in communication, leadership, and self-presentation. The mini competition added a dynamic, hands-on component that allowed students to reflect on their strengths while identifying key areas of improvement. Overall, the event successfully fostered confidence, clarity, and a proactive attitude — essential attributes for any aspiring professional.

GHCI-Grace Hopper Celebration India-2024 November 20th-22nd 2024

Skills Acquired: Professional Networking, Career Development and Emerging Trends in AI & Cloud

GHCI 2024 was more than just a conference; it was a transformative platform where women and nonbinary individuals in tech united to build a stronger, diverse, and inclusive technology community. From impactful sessions and leadership tracks to hackathons, pride marches, and career fairs, this celebration offered unparalleled opportunities for growth, networking, and inspiration. It successfully advanced the vision of shaping the future of technology through collective strength and inclusivity.

ThinkSprint’24 November 13th, 2024

Skills Acquired: Innovation, creative thinking, problem-solving and critical thinking

 

  • Chaitra Vedullapalli addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of innovation and collaboration, inspiring everyone to approach challenges with a visionary mindset.
  •       Ahead of the event, we also had a podcast with ma’am, Echoes of Impact. Her candid insights on fostering creativity, breaking barriers in technology, and the role of women in driving innovation set a motivational tone for ThinkSprint'24.
  •       Esteemed judges, comprising industry experts offered constructive insights and shared real-world perspectives, encouraging students to refine and elevate their innovative solutions.
  •       ThinkSprint'24 served as a platform for participants to connect with peers, mentors, and industry experts, fostering a vibrant ecosystem of shared learning and networking.

 

Top 2 Contestants:

  1. First Place: Team Minions, under the theme of “Neurotech & Robotics”, harnessed the power of Machine Learning and AI to create an innovative solution.
  2.   Second Place: Team Array of sunshine under the theme of “Computational Bio & Neurotech” leveraging IoT and Embedded systems based solutions.

ThinkSprint'24 was a resounding success, showcasing the exceptional creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving capabilities of young innovators. The event provided a platform for participants to push their boundaries, explore impactful solutions, and gain invaluable insights from industry experts and mentors. Each idea presented reflected the potential of technology to address real-world challenges, underscoring the spirit of innovation that defines the students of RVCE.

Radha Krishna School Visit: An awareness talk about defense services – roles and recruitment, DIY Rakhi Making November 5, 2024

Skills Acquired: Provide awareness to children regarding possible career opportunities in defence field and instilling respect for the defence personnel of India. 

The outreach event at Radhakrishna School was a meaningful blend of awareness, inspiration, and gratitude. By educating students about the Indian Defense Services and encouraging them to explore future opportunities in this field, the session ignited a sense of pride and purpose. The DIY Rakhi-making activity added a deeply emotional and symbolic layer to the event, fostering a connection between the younger generation and the brave soldiers who protect our nation. The initiative not only achieved its objective of informing and inspiring but also created a memorable experience that celebrated patriotism, creativity, and the spirit of service.

HOW TO JOIN THE CLUB

Seasonal recruitment drives will be conducted to recruit according to the different verticals of the club, information will be shared on all social media platforms and the procedure will include a set of tasks followed by interviews for each vertical.
