About the Department
Established in 2015, the Department of Aerospace Engineering at RVCE is a prestigious undergraduate programme blending rigorous theory with hands-on learning.
The curriculum, designed by academic and industry experts, covers core areas like Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Flight Mechanics, Structures, and Avionics, alongside emerging fields like AI and ML. The programme is supported by expert faculty, strong industry collaborations, such as an elective course by Boeing, and world-class infrastructure, including subsonic/supersonic wind tunnels and a 250 kN UTM.
Student accomplishments are a key highlight. Team Antariksh made history by launching India’s first microbiological payload satellite on ISRO’s PSLV C-60 in December 2024. Other clubs, like drone design teams Vyoma and Jatayu, excel in national and international competitions.
The department produces industry-ready graduates who secure placements in global aerospace industries, research organisations, and space-tech start-ups.
