About THE
PROGRAMME
Biotechnology is a transformative field that merges biology with technology to drive innovation, and the B.E. programme at RVCE equips students to lead in this evolving domain. Launched in 2002, the programme is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
In 2007, the programme gained autonomous status, allowing the department to regularly update its curriculum by an independent Board of Studies to match industry and research trends. Accredited by the NBA, the programme offers a strong mix of theory and hands-on training in molecular biology, genetic engineering and bioprocess technology, thus preparing students for diverse careers in biotechnology and beyond.
