Welcome to the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) at RV College of Engineering. We are proud to be at the forefront of nurturing a new generation of engineers in the rapidly evolving fields of AI and ML.
Launched in 2021, the Bachelor of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning programme had an intake of 60 students. Due to the overwhelming response and increasing demand, the intake has been increased to 120 students from 2023 onwards. Our curriculum offers a robust foundation in computer science engineering, alongside specialised knowledge in AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Natural Language Processing, Data Science, Computer Vision and many more, for better student preparedness to face professional challenges.
The Centre of Excellence (CoE) in AI Research and Business Solutions, formed jointly by RV College of Engineering and Boston Training Academy (a subsidiary of Boston Ltd., UK) emphasises applying Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning to research and develop innovative business solutions using the IPU-POD4 accelerator with 1-PetaFLOP computing power.
The CoE seeks to connect academic research with real-world business challenges, offering students exceptional opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to meaningful innovations. The CoE offers a certification course in data science for working professionals and students, aiming to develop strong industry-aligned competencies for a career in the field.
The remarkable achievements of our first graduating batch include over 90% of students securing placements in renowned companies such as Qualcomm, Microsoft, Oracle, Nike, SAP, HPE, PhonePe, Fivetran, Honeywell and NXP. The highest CTC offered was 56 LPA and the median CTC stood at 18 LPA, showcasing our students’ exceptional calibre and the industry’s strong confidence in their skills. From hackathons to sports and extracurricular pursuits, our students have made their mark at the state and national levels, achieving remarkable success.
The department has the ‘Dhi’ Club, where students can further cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, enhance their problem-solving abilities and foster innovation and creativity.
