Chemical Engineering, once focused on oil and petrochemicals, now spans diverse fields like regenerative medicine, food processing, and global energy/water solutions, integrating IoT, AI, and Big Data. It translates chemical discoveries into economically viable, environmentally friendly processes across industries such as Energy & Resources, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Food & Biotechnology, and Environmental Solutions. The undergraduate programme reflects this evolution while maintaining core concepts. The department excels in research, boasting over 2000 citations, numerous publications, four granted patents, and 703 lakh INR in grants. Students have received over 20 awards for projects and academic excellence.
