to Milestones
Established in 1982, the Department of Chemical Engineering has been a leader in academic and research excellence. It has received NBA accreditation multiple times and is currently accredited for six years since 2022.
The department offers B.E., M.Sc. (Engg) by Research, and Ph.D. programmes. The B.E. programme is autonomous and affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. Recognised as a VTU research centre since 2002, the department has awarded four M.Sc. (Engg) and nine Ph.D. degrees.
Faculty members are experts in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Equipment Design, and Product Development. Ten faculty members hold Ph.D.s, and two are pursuing them. The department also hosts active student chapters of IIChE, ECS, and IPI.
