Need for the Centre

The Centre of Excellence in Integrated Circuits and Systems specialises in the analysis, design, and optimisation of various applications, such as consumer electronics, the automotive industry, telecommunications, healthcare, robotics, aerospace, and defence.

Establishment OF COE-ICAS:

The Centre of Excellence in Integrated Circuits and Systems (COE-ICAS) has been under continuous development since 2021. It was officially inaugurated on January 13, 2023, under the name Centre of Excellence in Centre for Integrated Circuits and Systems (COE-CICS). Later, in 2024, it was renamed as the Centre of Excellence in Integrated Circuits and Systems (COE-ICAS). This centre focuses on conducting research in the domains of Digital IC Design, Analogue IC Design, Physical Design, and VLSI Testing & Verification. To support these research activities, dedicated facilities and workspaces have been established, providing the necessary infrastructure and environment to pursue innovative projects and advancements in these fields
