Need for the Centre
The Centre of Excellence in Smart Antenna Systems & Measurements (COE-SASM) has been under continuous development since 2010. This centre focuses on research in the domain of electromagnetics, antenna design, and array signal processing. To support these research activities, dedicated facilities and workspaces have been established, with the necessary infrastructure and environment to pursue innovative projects and advancements in these fields. The dedicated facilities established are:
- Installation of Anechoic Chamber: 2018
- Antenna Systems Simulation Centre: 2021
- Installation of EMI/EMC test bed: 2024
- Research – To enhance the convenience of mobility by compacting Antennas and beam steerability while maintaining a specified performance.
- Design & Measurement – Experimental verification of Antenna performance parameters under controlled conditions.
- Consulting and Training – Impart analytical and Experimental Training on the topics of Antennas, Electromagnetic scattering and Array Signal Processing.
It is a state-of-the-art research facility focuses on analysis, design, optimisation and measurement of RF and microwave devices for wireless and defence applications.

INTERNSHIPS
The unique Industry Certified Internship makes students Ready Engineers; during the internship, the students work on state-of-the-art multidisciplinary projects, sharpen experimental, analytical and numerical skills, and learn the applicability of technologies in diverse fields. The Internship provides an opportunity to associate with the state-of-the-art infrastructure of the Centres of Excellence of RVCE, Bengaluru the modules covered during the internship are:
