About the Department
The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, established in 1981 and renamed in 2014, blends strong academic foundations with evolving industry needs. With an annual intake of 60 students, it offers hands-on learning in modern labs and fosters innovation through its Ph.D. programme. Accredited by the NBA, its latest recognition in 2024 reflects its commitment to academic and research excellence.

It gives me great pleasure to introduce the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru, a department with a legacy of excellence, innovation and transformation.
Established in 1981 as the Instrumentation Technology Department, it was renamed in 2014 to reflect the broader and evolving scope of the discipline. With a focused intake of 60 students, we aim to provide a high-impact, personalised learning experience rooted in our mission: to foster technical expertise, cultivate lifelong learning and strengthen industry-academia collaboration.
