Established in 1992, the Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) department offers a VTU-affiliated, Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum emphasising hands-on design and implementation in hardware, software, embedded systems, networks and protocols. The department provides a B.E. in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (60 student intake), M.Tech in Digital Communication Engineering (18 student intake) and Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engg.) by Research. ETE specialises in Wireless Communication, Signal Processing, VLSI & Embedded Systems, Microwave Communication and Networking, aiming to deliver quality education through fundamentals, research and innovation. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in industry, R&D, academia, IT and public services, with Digital Communication Engineering postgraduates finding opportunities in Wireless/Cellular Technologies, Networking and Signal Processing.

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is committed to academic excellence, cutting-edge research and innovation-driven learning. The department has a dedicated team of 18 highly qualified faculty members, 240 undergraduate students, 36 postgraduate students and 7 research scholars. Outcome-Based Education (OBE) based curriculum is designed to build strong foundational knowledge and essential engineering competencies aligned with industry and research requirements.
