Designing the 

Wireless World

Established in 1992, the Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) department offers a comprehensive educational experience, emphasising a hands-on approach to design and implementation. The curriculum, affiliated with VTU and following an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework, focuses on fundamental concepts in hardware, software, embedded systems, networks, and protocols.

The department provides B.E. in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering with an intake of 60 students. M.Tech in Digital Communication Engineering with an intake of 18 students. Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engg.) by Research.

The ETE department specialises in Wireless Communication, Signal Processing, VLSI & Embedded Systems, Microwave Communication and Networking. Its goal is to deliver quality education through a strong focus on fundamentals, research, and innovation for sustainable development. Graduates from both UG and PG programs are well-equipped for diverse career paths in industry, R&D and academia, demonstrating strong competency to compete across various sectors, including core engineering, IT and public services. Specifically, Digital Communication Engineering postgraduates find opportunities in wireless and cellular technologies, networking and signal processing.
