Manufacturing Excellence
The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at RVCE began in 1980 and became an independent department in 1985. Renamed in 1992, it integrates engineering and management to align with industry needs. The department offers an autonomous undergraduate programme affiliated to VTU and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, along with M.Sc (Engg.) and Ph.D. programmes.
The department maintains close associations with professional societies like IIIE, ORSI, IIMM, SIVAM, NIQR, QCFI and ISQ, fostering collaboration and industry connections. Moreover, it also boasts of placements by notable recruiters like Hewlett-Packard India Software Operation Pvt. Ltd., Titan Company Ltd. and Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd., to name a few.
