Where Questions Lead

to Breakthroughs

Established in 1963, the Department of Physics is among the institution’s oldest departments. It offers Engineering Physics courses across all programmes, global electives for higher-semester B.E. and M.Tech. students and a Ph.D. programme under VTU.

With 13 doctorate-qualified faculty, including three postdoctoral scholars and three technical staff, the department is known for its research, discipline and academic rigour. Modern laboratories, advanced research facilities and regular curriculum reviews ensure students gain a strong interdisciplinary foundation. An advisory board of academicians, industry experts and alumni support continue the academic and infrastructural advancement.
