Our hostels are designed to be a ‘home away from home’, providing comfort and a conducive environment for study.
Common information for all hostels:
Mess & food
- There is a common mess for all hostellers (boys) located in the Cauvery block; vegetarian
food served. - Food reviews vary: some students say breakfast is good; lunch/dinner are “above average or repetitive”. Students only prepare the Monthly Menu
Facilities
- Wi-Fi enabled campus; hostellers have access to Wi-Fi.
- Sports, gymnasium, indoor/outdoor games are available to hostel residents.
- Infrastructure such as ramps & lifts for differently-abled; campus is well-maintained with
water-treatment, waste-management systems.
Accommodation Style
- Students are required to bring bedding, bucket/mug, and daily‐use items. Electric items like
heating coils, iron boxes etc are not allowed in some blocks. - The number of students sharing a room depends on semester/year: first year might have
more sharing; senior years fewer. - Bathrooms/washrooms are typically common (not attached to every room).

Girls' Hostel
We provide separate secure hostel facilities for our female students at two locations.
Diamond Jubilee Block
- Location: On the main RVCE Campus, Mysuru Road, Bengaluru – 560059.
- For: First-year and Higher Semester B.E. Students.
Girls' Hostel
- Location: 4th Cross, Krishna Garden, Pattanagere, Bangalore – 560011.
- For: M.Tech/MCA and Higher Semester B.E. Students.
Boys' Hostel
- The entire boys’ hostel facility is located within the RVCE campus, ensuring convenience and security.
- All are twin sharing rooms, except for few, which are 3 sharing.

Summary
- RVCE’s boys hostel system is well-structured, with different blocks for different years, on- campus location, and decent amenities (Wi-Fi, sports, gym, mess).
- Early application / hostel seat registration is recommended because seats may fill quickly; also ratio of local vs out-of-town student allocation may impact.
