Need for the Centre

The Centre of Excellence in Materials Fabrication & Characterisation (COE-MFC), formerly known as COE-Macroelectronics, has been under continuous development since 2013.  This centre is established with the objective of advancing cutting-edge research and innovation in the fields of materials science, engineering, and nanotechnology. This centre serves as a multidisciplinary hub that integrates state-of-the-art facilities for the synthesis, processing, and detailed analysis of a wide range of materials — from metals and ceramics to polymers and composites. By fostering collaboration among academia, industry, and research institutions, the centre aims to drive scientific breakthroughs, support the development of next-generation materials, and contribute to technological advancements across sectors such as aerospace, electronics, energy, and healthcare.
